Warranty
Polyjacking warranty guide
Reputable Canadian polyjacking contractors offer 5–10 year warranties. Here's exactly what's covered, what isn't, and what to look for in writing.
What's typically covered
- • Re-settlement of the lifted slab within the warranty period (typically 5 years residential, up to 10 years for premium foams).
- • Foam material defects — foam shrinkage, density failure, or premature breakdown.
- • Workmanship — patch failures, over-lift damage, or improper void fill.
What's typically NOT covered
- • Settlement caused by a NEW underground event (a fresh plumbing leak, a new excavation next door, severe drought-cycle clay shrinkage).
- • Cracking of the slab itself (foam doesn't repair cracks; it only lifts).
- • Cosmetic patch fading or color mismatch over time.
- • Movement caused by tree root growth after the work is complete.
How to compare warranties
Always get the warranty in writing before work begins. Look for a transferable warranty (it stays with the home, not the homeowner), a clear definition of "re-settlement" (most are >1/4" of additional drop), and a documented response time (most reputable contractors respond within 30 days of a claim).
FAQ
Most are, but always confirm in writing. A transferable warranty adds resale value.
