Best time of year to polyjack in Canada
Polyurethane foam works year-round. But certain seasons give you better diagnostics, faster scheduling, and longer-lasting results.
Spring (April–June): The diagnostic window
Spring melt exposes the worst of winter heaving and settlement. It's the easiest time to see exactly how much your slab has dropped — and contractors love clear, post-thaw measurements. The downside: it's also the busiest scheduling season.
Summer (July–August): Stable soils
Summer offers the most stable soil moisture conditions, especially on clay-heavy lots. Lifts done in summer rarely need touch-ups because the soil column is dry and predictable.
Fall (September–October): The sweet spot
This is the best time to polyjack in most of Canada. Soils are stable, contractors have caught up from the spring rush, and your slab is reset before winter freeze-thaw begins. Booking in fall almost always gets the fastest scheduling.
Winter (November–March): Yes, it works
Polyurethane foam cures even in sub-zero temperatures. The catch is access — frozen ground can hide the true settlement until spring. Winter polyjacking is best for emergency lifts (severe trip hazards, garage drainage failures) rather than full driveway re-levels.
